I was born and raised in El Paso, Texas and earned my Bachelor's Degree in Social Work at The University of Texas El Paso and then completed my Master's Degree in Social Work at New Mexico State University. I currently hold a license in Clinical Social Work (LCSW) and am pursuing my training in Cognitive Behavior Therapy at the Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavior Therapy. Like Beck once said, "If our thinking is bogged down by distorted symbolic meanings, illogical reasoning and erroneous interpretations, we become, in truth, blind and deaf." I truly believe that our thoughts have a big factor in the way we live our lives. I have experience in working with children, adolescents, and adults who suffer from mental illness or other challenges. I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults in various settings including hospitals, dialysis centers and behavioral settings. I have provided intensive therapy to high risk clients and counseling services to those in need and worked towards stabilization for all. If you are suffering from depression and/or anxiety, we can work together to develop individualized goals by integrating evidence based practice treatment methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Mindfulness based treatment approach.
